HAWT Jeezus on a pogo stick! I love Roni Loren and her Loving On The Edge series. Have for a really long time. This latest release is no exception. I would also list this as one of my favorite reads of 2016 (list post forthcoming)
It’s got everything I’ve come to love from Roni, including excellent main characters, delicious (sometimes dark) back stories, a nasty villain, and lots of steamy erotic BDSM moments.
Dare I say, Roni is becoming a master of the F/M/M story. Yes, it’s true this is a story with three main characters. I won’t tell you all the details, but it starts at a party with a voyeur scene. From there, our heroine, Cora, discovers the man she watched is part owner of a gaming company, one in which she participates in and her info is hacked.
Loren does an amazing job of weaving in a realistic cute meet, and ways to keep the characters interacting. Not to mention, the conflict… tons of it, perfect and heart-stopping. My heart stuttered, and stomach dropped at certain parts of reading this story. I had no clue how everyone would get their happily ever after. Thankfully, I can say this without feeling like I’m giving a spoiler, but Cora is a true heroine.
For the men, I loved Ren and Hayes. Hayes with his brooding and dominant nature. He’s damaged and constantly doubting himself. Ren, gorgeous Asian male, with his switch behavior and playful nature. He loves his best friend and is determined to save him. They both have some skeletons in the closet, ones caused by their relationship to each other, which IMO are the best kind.
As for the setting, we’re still living in Loren’s world of The Ranch. Even though no scenes actually take place on The Ranch in this book, a couple characters from previous stories make an appearance. I dare say, a lot of times, my reviews are a little scatterbrained, but I’m still riding the high from this story… when I think about it I get all excited.
Don’t take my word for it, read the first chapter on Roni’s website. I’m not sure if more books in this series are coming, but I highly recommend previous books in the series.
